New Volunteer from Turkey

Bektas Gulcan from 13.07.2022 started to work as a volunteer by the project “Volunteering for Development”, coordinating organisation ıs the European Association “World-Our Home”. Bektas participates in European Comission programme – European Solidarity Corps project.

Let him introduce himself!

I am Bektas from Turkey, and I am living in Ankara. I graduated Electrical and Electronics Engineer. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the world in 2020, all flights in the world were canceled and no visas were issued in Turkey for the volunteers. After 2 years, I started my volunteering project, which I have been waiting for, and I have a wonderful opportunity to become part of World Our Home for one year. Being here after my many volunteer activities I am sure that I will return home with hundreds of wonderful memories and new changes that will not be enough to write here. With the happiness of having all this, I will have new perspectives that will improve me. I will help to organize events, help with the projects, write articles, help with office matters. After this volunteering project I look forward to adapting, managing and organizing my own projects with my new achievements that I have gained by giving and receiving in volunteer work.
