There are various challenges that European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteers can face. Difficult and challenging situations in which hosting organisations need to provide support. Different crises may impact volunteers’ security, which is why SALTO ESC and National Agencies gathered in the Strategic National Agency Cooperation on Volunteering are initiating the development of a document on safeguarding policies.
Representatives from European Association “World-Our Home” participated in the Seminar “Ensuring safe and secure environment for European Solidarity Corps Volunteers” which was organized in Riga, Latvia from 22-26 September 2024.
Objective was to equip organisations within the ESC programme with tools to develop and implement safeguarding policies ensuring a safe and secure environment for all participants.
Activity was organized for professionals within the ESC programme willing to collaborate on developing safeguarding policies in order to ensure safety through feedback, expertise and knowledge exchange.
