Local seminar about sustainable environment
European Association “World-Our Home” organized local seminar for young people in the framework of Ligo day in Latvia 23-24 June 2023 to raise the youth skills about sustainable environment.
The seminar had a positive impact on the young people who participates in the activity. They developed new skills and improved existing ones, specifically in the areas of climate change, intercultural communication, environmental protection. The participants gained a deeper understanding of these subjects and were equipped with practical techniques for using informal and non-formal educational methods to promote more tolerant attitudes among the young people.
The program for the participants was built around non-formal education methods.
By incorporating the European Green Deal into the Erasmus+ program, the EU is taking concrete steps toward creating a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future. The participants shared information about the local challenges they face in their life, and presented best practices and solutions that have been effective in their communities.
