European Association “World-Our Home” is implementing the Erasmus + project “Cooperation for Youth Development (Youth CODE)”. Project is funded by the programme Erasmus + Civil Society Cooperation in the field of Youth.
“Youth CODE” project aim is to ensure the organization’s work programme to meet the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. European Association “World-Our Home” (EA WOH) is a EU-wide network successfully working in the field of youth since 1999 with a long term aim to foster youth participation in democratic and civic life in EU, to contribute to the European youth policy and youth social and political participation, to promote the employability of youth through activities developing their competences, to boost cooperation with member-organizations and other stakeholders on European level and encourage youth to actively participate in economic and cultural life of society.
Mission of European Association “World-Our Home” is to strengthen European awareness and citizenship among youth, to create equal opportunities for young people in the EU for personal and professional development and to build an inclusive, democratic, fair and responsible society, as well as to manage a network of cooperation between European youth organizations with the aim to develop youth work, to influence and foster youth policy at local and European level, to promote training possibilities especially for young people with fewer opportunities .
Vision of European Association “World-Our Home” is to make a valuable contribution to the development of skilled and socially active young people, equipped with knowledge and competences needed in our mobile, digital and multicultural society, who can really influence on the prosperity of the EU and who can contribute to more inclusive, cohesive, greener and digitally fit society.
By implementing the work program of the organization, we take into account the values and common goals of the European Union. When developing the work program and activities of the organisation, we take into account the 6 priorities of the European Commission – A European Green Deal, A Europe fit for the digital age, An economy that works for people, A new push for European democracy, Promoting our European way of life, A new push for European democracy. The priority we are putting in place and highlighting is: Promoting our European way of life. It is about fostering skills and inclusion that we are aiming in our projects and activities. In the work programme EA “World-Our Home” implements the activities with an aim to raise the awareness about European policy and Youth Strategy, to develop, promote and support actions which are directed to engage, connect and empower youth to increase stakeholder cooperation and participation in the field of youth, to increase awareness and youth participation in EU actions and boost civil society involvement in the dissemination of policy and programme actions.
European Association “World-Our Home” and the member-organizations of the network stand for inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, environment, fight against climate change and participation in democratic life, which are the general priorities of the European Commission.
The activities of the organization in 2023 will be built to achieve a long-term aim of the network in fulfilment of Erasmus+ program’s objectives and priorities, and in such way to make a valuable contribution into our common youth work in the EU. A long-term goal is to develop the EU-wide network consisting of EA WOH and 16 European member organizations from 15 European countries, which are successfully working together.
