Rezekne, Latvia – May 29, 2025 -The energy is high and collaboration is in full swing as the European Association “World-Our Home” hosts the Kick-off Meeting of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Youth – Centered Digital Society”.
From May 27th to 30th, youth leaders and representatives from Turkey, Italy, and Latvia have gathered in Rezekne to launch this important project focused on empowering young people in the digital age.
The meeting officially opened with a warm welcome from the host organization, followed by an engaging presentation of the project’s aims and expected impact.
“This project is not just about digital world—it’s about people. It’s about giving youth the skills and support they need to thrive in a connected world,” said one of the project coordinators.
A central theme of the discussions has been digital anxiety-a growing challenge for young people navigating social media, information overload and constant connectivity. Through interactive workshops and roundtable sessions, the group is exploring ways to build digital resilience and promote mental well-being among youth.
The team has also worked on finalizing the project methodology, defining clear roles and responsibilities and setting up effective communication and dissemination strategies. Concrete plans for the next phases of the project.
In addition to the working sessions, participants are enjoying cultural experiences in Rezekne, strengthening the bonds of European cooperation through informal exchange and shared values.
As the meeting progresses, one message is clear: Youth empowerment in the digital age is a shared European priority, and this project is paving the way for more inclusive, mindful and digitally resilient societies.
