Eurodesk 35th Anniversary Celebrated in Latgale with Flavors, Knowledge and Fun!
On April 16, 2025, the European Association “World-Our Home,” together with Eurodesk Latvia, proudly celebrated Eurodesk’s 35th anniversary with a vibrant event in Līvāni, at the MJIC “Kvartāls.” The event brought together young people from across the Latgale region and also European Solidarity Corps volunteers from Armenia and Turkey for an afternoon filled with culinary adventures, knowledge sharing and unforgettable memories.
Under the theme “A Stopover of Delicious Europe”, participants embarked on a unique journey through European cuisine. Young chefs formed teams, selected a European country – this time they have chosen Georgia – and prepared Georgian traditional three-course meals — from savory starters to sweet desserts. The flavors of Europe truly came alive in Līvāni, with dishes full of creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm.
Alongside the culinary excitement, everyone joined the “My Opportunities at Eurodesk” erudition game. Through fun challenges and quizzes, participants explored the countless mobility and development opportunities available to young people across Europe, learning how Eurodesk can support their personal and professional journeys.
As the event reached its finale, all participants enjoyed a festive dinner together, celebrating not just the dishes they prepared, but also new friendships and a deeper understanding of what Europe has to offer.
“Thanks to Eurodesk, young people, even in the most remote regions, can find out about the world of opportunities waiting for them,” said the organizers. “We are proud to celebrate 35 years of connecting, informing and inspiring youth!”
