Seminar “ConnESCtion” in Spain
European Association “World-Our Home” participated in Erasmus + Seminar “ConnESCtion” in Spain from 21st-26th November 2023.
ConnESCtion was a contact making seminar that aims to create a strong, solid and updated netwerk of organisations that promote, coordinate, host and send volunteers in the framework of the European Solidarity Corps progrem.
Objectives of the project was:
-to create a string and strategic netwerk of ESC coordinating organisations.
-share good practiced and common difficulties in orgder to create protocols to work together to improve the quality of the volunteer`s experience during the project but also before and after.
-to become aware of the importance (and challenge) of preparing, sending, accepting, participants with fewer opportunities, with physical or mental disabilities or with physical or mental heath problems. How to be supportive during the experience and what impact their participation has on their life, on the project and also on the other participants.
-tomake our ESC projects, the city and our facilities (accommodation, work centeres, offices, etc) known to partners in order to give more confidence and security to fiture ESC volunteers.
The final idea was to be able to create common protocol/booklet of action that simplify and unify our daily work ,avoid misunderstandings and increase the quality of the accompaniment given to the young ESC volunteer.
