European Association “World-Our Home” from November 13 to 19, 2023 participated in the project “Digital tools for enhancing youth work” in Hondarribia (Basque Country, Spain). Project was funded by Erasmus + prograsmme.
Seminar was about usage of new technologies in youth work and aims were to exchange resources, digital tools and good practices in virtual environments to work in the field of youth from non-formal education.
Through this project, youth workers, youth leaders acquired tools to work educationally with young people using the virtual technologies. In this way, participants will developed different skills while raising awareness about the importance of exploring new tools to connect with young people.
Our habits have changed, our ways of relating and the tools and resources we use in our daily lives. The virtual world and technological resources open up a new world of possibilities that may have come to stay. Therefore, we intend to learn from this new situation and how the use of these new technological resources can help us in the framework of non-formal education with young people.
The objectives of this experiential project are:
– Promote the use of digital tools in work with young people in the non-formal sphere
education.
– Learn and exchange different and new tools, techniques, methodologies, projects and
experiences in the digital field of non-formal education to work with young people.
– Exchange good practices on the use of digital resources to work with young people.
– Know the advantages and benefits that these tools offer us
– Promote equality and cultural diversity.
During the week it was used a non-formal methodology like debates, work in small groups, role games, creative presentations, cultural evenings and visits, exercises of expression and creation of projects.
