From the 26th of May till 02nd of June 2023 in Rabac, Croatia has implemented an Erasmus + project Study visit: Youth work in Croatia. in cooperation with the organisations from Croatia, Italy, France, Latvia, Portugal and Spain.
Throughout the non formal activities the youth workers from different countries get to know each other, build a great team, explored the youth work of each of the organisation included, went more deep into the Erasmus + programme and what it offers for the youth workers and youth, shared good case practices as well as the methods and tools for working with youth.
One part of the programme was also dedicated to the self learning and recognizing what they have learned, and to the Youthpass competences, as well as to the workshops of the importance of the boundaries in youth work and youth work practice in the local high school.
The participants also had the chance to go to the local trips to Labin, Pazin and Pula in Istra region. In Labin we have visited youth workers, members of local youth council and the organisation Labin Art Express XXI which showed us their good case practice in working with youth and the art exhibition within the Industrial Art Bienalle 2023. We also visited the Old town Labin, the local museum, and meet with some local entrepreneurs, go for a hiking through beautiful Sentona path and enjoyed the local shrimp festival. In Pazin we were welcomed by the organisation Alarm Pazin which have a local youth center. Together with their local volunteers, a local foundation and city council by the method of world caffe they presented to us their activities and good case practice as well as the importance of cooperation in youth work. In Pazin we also visited the local museum where we found out more about croatian culture and also the youth punk scene in this town. A highlight of this field trip was definetly going to Zarečki krov, an amazing waterfall where we had an international picnic and swim together. In Pula we were welcomed by the organisations ZUM and ROJC, that presented us their work with youth and projects. We also met with ROJC ESC volunteers and hear about their activities, went to see Radio Rojc and the Re Gepetto youth workshop and see how the town of Pula looks like.
