European Association “World-Our Home” Continues to Represent Latvia at the 2026 European Peoples’ Festival in Germany!
From 25 July to 1 August 2026, the city of Bad Segeberg, Germany, hosted the 2026 European Peoples’ Festival (EPF), bringing together participants from across Europe to strengthen intercultural dialogue, foster friendship, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of European nations.
The European Association “World-Our Home” has been the official representative of Latvia in the European Peoples’ Festival network and a member of the EPF cooperation network since 2005. For more than twenty years, the Association has played an active role in the development of the Festival by representing Latvia at the European level, participating in network meetings, and promoting international cooperation among European countries.
As a long-standing member of the Festival network, the European Association “World-Our Home” participates in the European Peoples’ Festival every year, proudly representing Latvia and promoting the country’s culture, traditions, and shared European values. This year, representatives of the Association, together with the youth dance group “Dziga” from the Rezekne Culture and Tourism Centre, took part in a wide range of cultural, sporting, artistic, and international cooperation activities. They also participated in meetings of the Festival’s member-country representatives, where the future development of the European Peoples’ Festival and plans for upcoming editions were discussed.
The Association holds a special place in the history of the European Peoples’ Festival. In cooperation with the City of Rezekne, the European Association “World-Our Home” successfully organised the Festival in Latvia in 2008 and 2016, welcoming hundreds of participants from across Europe. These events transformed Rezekne into a vibrant centre of international culture, friendship, and cooperation, significantly enhancing Latvia’s international visibility and strengthening the European partnership network.
Participation in EPF 2026 once again demonstrated the Association’s important contribution to the development of European civil society. The Festival provided valuable opportunities to establish new partnerships, exchange experience, and develop future projects in the fields of youth work, culture, education, and civic participation.
Since 1999, the European Association “World-Our Home” has been implementing international projects in the fields of youth, education, culture, and non-formal learning throughout Europe. Membership in the European Peoples’ Festival cooperation network remains one of the cornerstones of the Association’s international activities, contributing to European unity, mutual respect, and intercultural dialogue.
The European Association “World-Our Home” will continue to represent Latvia within the European Peoples’ Festival network, strengthening international cooperation and creating new opportunities for friendship, mutual understanding, and joint initiatives among the people of Europe.
