We are happy to share methodological publication “Developing Media Literacy Skills”, created following our youth exchange in Kaunas, Lithuania, from 25 June to 4 July 2026.
Bringing together young people from Lithuania, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria and Latvia, the project explored the importance of media literacy and how we can navigate today’s digital world more critically and responsibly.
What will you find in the publication?
The importance of media literacy in the digital age
Critical thinking and responsible information sharing
How to recognise disinformation, fake news, and online manipulation
Tips for identifying propaganda and evaluating online sources
Fact-checking and verifying digital content
The impact of AI, algorithms, and deepfakes on the information we consume
This publication is a practical resource for youth workers, educators, organisations and everyone interested in media literacy, digital awareness, and critical thinking. It can also inspire non-formal learning activities that encourage young people to question what they see online, verify information, and become more responsible digital citizens.
Explore the publication and discover how we can all become more critical and responsible media users!
