This November has been a month of heartfelt farewells as we say goodbye to our wonderful European Solidarity Corps volunteers who have each spent a full year making a difference in Rēzekne, Latvia. Today, we honor three inspiring young women — Deniz Can, Seda Isunts, and Busra Uzunkoca — who have completed their volunteering journeys with dedication, love and kindness.
Deniz Can — Kindergarten “Namiņš”
Deniz finished her project on November 6 after a year of working closely with children at Kindergarten “Namiņš”.
Arriving at the end of December 2024, she brought with her an open heart, creativity, and endless positivity. She played, learned, and explored together with the children, while introducing them to the culture, language, and traditions of Turkey.
Her warmth and enthusiasm left a lasting impact on both the children and teachers. Deniz became a true helper in everyday kindergarten activities, and her joyful presence will be remembered with love.
Thank you, Deniz, for your energy, kindness, and cultural sharing!
Seda Isunts — Social Service Multifunctional Center of Rezekne
On November 12, Seda completed her volunteering year in Rēzekne.
Throughout her service at the Rēzekne Social Service Multifunctional Center, she supported social workers in their daily work with people with disabilities, contributed to activities at the Pensioners’ Day Center, and taught English to seniors.
Seda shared her Armenian culture with warmth and pride, enriching our community with her patience, care, and positivity.
Thank you, Seda, for your meaningful contribution to our society and the connections you built!
Busra Uzunkoca — European Association “World-Our Home”
Our last volunteer of the 2025 project cycle, Busra, finishes her service on November 17, 2026 — with today marking her final working day.
Busra has been deeply involved in the activities of the European Association “World-Our Home”, supporting events, daily tasks, and community initiatives with enthusiasm, creativity and kindness.
Her positive spirit and reliability have made a strong and lasting impression on our whole team.
Thank you, Busra, for your commitment, helpfulness, and the positive energy you brought into every project!
To Deniz, Seda, and Busra — thank you for your dedication, your heart, and the joy you brought to Rēzekne.
You touched the lives of children, young people, seniors, families and local community members in countless ways.
We are grateful for your year of service and proud of everything you achieved.
We wish each of you happiness, success, and beautiful new adventures ahead.
You will always have a home with us — World-Our Home.
