[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]European Association \u201cWorld-Our Home\u201d has received a grant support from the Active Citizens\u2019 Fund in the Capacity Project competition. Capacity projects focus on the activities for strengthening, cooperation and networking of civil society organizations, informal civic society groups, and active individuals; as well as on the development of financial sustainability of organizations.<\/p>\n

\u201cActive Citizens Fund\u201d is program of European Economic Area (EEA) and Norway Finance Mechanism, financed in 15 countries in Europe. The objective of the Active Citizens Fund in all countries is \u2013\u00a0civil society and active citizenship strengthened and vulnerable groups empowered<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Project \u201cCapacity Building for the Development of \u201cEA World-Our Home\u201d aims to develop and set up organization\u2019s strategic activity, as well as to increase the capacity of the organization\u2019s employees and members by acquiring new knowledge, practice and experience. The project will last 17 months from 01.07.2022.- 30.11.2023. During this period EA WOH will implement a variety of activities to strengthen the organization\u2019s capacity, enhance visibility and strengthen knowledge and ability of the organization\u2019s employees to develop the organization\u2019s goals. As a result of the project, 3 jobs will be provided for the project manager, coordinator and accountant, the attraction of the organization\u2019s human resources will be facilitated, EA WOH employees will be trained so that they have the necessary skills and knowledge for the organization\u2019s development, its visibility and cooperation with other organizations. During this project the work will be done on advertising and promotion of EA WOH, as well as an experience study trip to Norway will be organized in order to develop international co-operation with Nordic organizations and promote joint projects in the future. The development of organization\u2019s economic activities will be promoted by obtaining a camp leader\u2019s certificate and organizing local and international youth camps in the future.<\/p>\n

The total funding for the project is 19 353.50 EUR.<\/p>\n

European Association \u201cWorld-Our Home\u201d within the programme Active Citizens Fund, project \u201cCapacity building for the development of EA \u201cWorld-Our Home\u201d during the period from October 17, 2022 to October 22, 2022 implemented the planned activity in the framework of activities 3.1.2. Training of employees of civil society organizations (including volunteers, members of administration and executive institutions); the employee of the organization Dace Deksne participated in the training organized by the Department of Non-formal Education of the State Educational Content Center for obtaining the first certificate of Children\u2019s camp managers, lasting 72 hours.<\/div>\n
Dace Deksne has obtained the Children’s Camp Manager’s certificate and now can organize Children’s Camps in the future, which can positively influence the long-term development of the EA “World-Our Home” organization and expand the organization’s capabilities and activities.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The main aim of the project \u201cCapacity building for the development of EA “World-Our Home” is to develop and organize the strategic activity of the organization, as well as to increase the capacity of the employees and members of the organization by acquiring new knowledge, practice and experience. European Association “World-Our Home” within the programme Active Citizens Fund, project “Capacity building for the development of EA “World-Our Home” has started work on the implementation of promotional measures for the organization. We created a new section about the project on the EA “World-O Home” website, we also actively post news on the organization’s facebook page, and a lot of work has been done to create the organization’s new new logo, which will be the organization’s recognizable sign in the future. Thanks to SIA “Poligr\u0101fserviss”<\/span><\/a>, the logo now is modern, in high-quality and with its own meaning.<\/div>\n
We will be able to use this new logo in all representative materials, and promote the recognition of the organization both in Latvia and in Europe.<\/div>\n

Within the programme Active Citizens Fund and the project \u201cCapacity building for the development of EA \u201cWorld- Our Home\u201d, the organization EA \u201cWOH\u201d organized the training for two days about social networks, website communication and administration for EA “World-Our Home” employees, members and volunteers at the end of December.<\/p>\n

The training was very useful for increasing the knowledge of the organization’s employees on how to create properly the content, to improve technical skills, social network administration skills, a successful digital communication with the target audience. The marketing skills were increased in order to promote the recognition and popularity of the organization using modern tools such as the organization’s website page, Facebook or Instagram account.<\/p>\n

These courses contributed to the organization’s digital marketing activities, knowledge and generally strengthened employees’ knowledge of the digital environment.<\/p>\n

The training was led by the marketing and advertising specialist Raimonds Platacis, who is currently focused on his native Latgale region, where he advises to local entrepreneurs and develops his business in the field of product design.<\/p>\n
